We are very grateful to the many dedicated individuals who have contributed as faculty or organizers to the events that led to our Association: the Aboriginal Editors Circle and the Indigenous Editors Circle. These gatherings have been the result of generations of hard work on behalf of Indigenous storytellers and we are honoured to continue this legacy.
We would also like to thank our partners Simon Fraser University (especially the Publishing department) and the Association of Canadian Publishers. Your ongoing support in the form of many hours of volunteer time is truly appreciated.
A number of individual volunteers who are unaffiliated are also vital to our work. Thank you for the love and support you give. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.
Thank you to our 2020 donors and supporters
We are so grateful to all of the individuals and organizations who generously donated to the IEA in 2020. These donations so far have allowed us to hold our February 2020 Strategic Planning Gathering, which took place just before COVID-19 made such gatherings impossible and allowed us to take crucial, decisive steps forward; cover fees for important subscriptions and services to keep our project running smoothly, such as web hosting fees and financial services; and provide fair honoraria to support our other programming, such as an upcoming series of webinars.
We extend our gratitude to the following organizations who have either donated or offered substantive support in other ways:
- Annick Press
- Arc Poetry
- Association of Book Publishers of BC
- Association of Canadian Publishers
- Brush Education
- Cree Literacy Network
- Editors Canada
- Fernwood Publishing
- Groundwood Books
- House of Anansi Press
- Invisible Publishing
- Literary Press Group of Canada
- Metonymy Press
- National Network for Equitable Library Service
- Royal BC Museum Publishing
- Second Story Press
- Simon Fraser University especially SFU Publishing
- UBC Press
- Wilfrid Laurier University Press
- The Writers’ Union of Canada
(If you are an individual who donated on behalf of an organization but don’t see the organization’s name listed here, please contact us and we will add it!)
